Busy

Busy, Busy, Busy.

That not only describes my week, but the week the Cincinnati Reds front office has had.

Edison Volquez to to the DL, Darnell "Ronald" McDonald sent to Triple-A, Johnny Gomes and Homer Bailey recalled, Joey Votto's mysterious illness cured, Brandon Phillips' fractured thumb-- the Reds have been on the news wire this week more than Rush Limbaugh, it seems.

Cheers to a few thoughts, as I get ready to watch my first baseball game in a week.

- It isn't I haven't had time for no t.v. but the little I have had has been dedicated to the NBA Playoffs.

- With their record at 22-20 I must not have missed too much, besides some losses. I'm not sure how much longer this team can keep its head above .500.

- Votto, who missed almost two weeks with an inner ear infection that caused him to lose the ability to concentrate and have dizzy spells, was in yesterdays lineup and clubbed two long balls but is not playing today.

- Bailey made his first start of the year at the big league level yesterday in place of the injured Volquez and only gave up three hits. But, he walked six and gave up six runs.

- Matt Maloney is tearing up Triple-A and the Reds need a lefty in the starting rotation, seems like a good fit to me.

I'll leave you with this totally off topic statement about the great one. If anybody saw LeBron's game winning miracle you are now a witness...congratulations.

I've also devoted my little bit of extra time to watching the playoffs. And I did see LeBron's game winning moment, there was also a clip on Fox news showing a reporter's crazy reaction to it while on air. It was funny. Nice post.
